Description
Easy Chicken Kofta is a flavorful Middle Eastern dish made with spiced ground chicken, shaped into patties or skewers, and grilled or pan-fried to perfection.

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, parsley, and lemon juice. Mix well until combined.
- Shape the mixture into oval patties or around skewers if grilling.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the koftas for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- If grilling, preheat the grill to medium heat and cook for about 4 minutes per side.
- Serve hot with tzatziki, hummus, or a side of rice and salad.
Notes
- For extra flavor, refrigerate the kofta mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
- You can bake them at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes for a healthier option.
- Serve with pita bread, tahini sauce, or a cucumber yogurt sauce.
