Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Skillet
  • Oven
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Chicken
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil for frying
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups Marinara Sauce

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the meatballs for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Then, transfer them to a baking dish.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Bake the meatballs for 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot with spaghetti, garlic bread, or as a delicious sandwich in a sub roll!

Notes

For a lighter version, use ground turkey instead of chicken. You can also make these meatballs in an air fryer for a crispier exterior. Serve them with a side of roasted vegetables or on a bed of zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.
