Equipment

  • Baking Dish
  • Oven

Ingredients

Peach Filling

  • 4-5 medium Fresh Peaches peeled and sliced
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar adjust based on peach sweetness
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice adds balance to sweetness
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon adds warmth

Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Rolled Oats optional for texture
  • ½ cup Butter cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar adds depth of flavor
  • ¼ tsp Salt balances sweetness
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon optional for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Peel and slice the peaches into thin, uniform slices. Toss them with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to release the juices.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats (if using), brown sugar, and salt for the topping.
  • Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Optionally, add cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
  • Place the peaches in the prepared baking dish, spreading them evenly. Sprinkle the crisp topping generously over the peaches.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling around the edges.
  • Let the crisp cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

For added flavor, you can add a sprinkle of sliced almonds, walnuts, or coconut to the topping. For a more textured topping, try using chopped nuts as well.
